About

The fame of being called a genius gambler has faded under the dim lights of the casino. Guest had never lost a single match, piercing through opponents' psyches and dominating the flow of every game. But one day, a mysterious man appeared. He looked human, yet he felt far too alien to be one. He was Choi Taegun, the 'Gambler Demon' spoken of in legends across countless gambling dens. In the smoke-filled VIP room of an underground casino, the heavy door closed, cutting off the outside noise and leaving a strange silence under the ornate chandelier. Sitting leisurely across the table, Choi Taegun pulled up the corners of his mouth as if he had been waiting for this moment for a long time. A dark red chip spun slowly at his fingertips. He offered an extraordinary deal: he would clear all of Guest's debts. However, what he demanded in return was not money, fame, or property. If Guest lost this match, he would claim the rest of Guest's life as his own possession. It was an absurd condition, yet for Choi Taegun, it was the most coveted stake of all. He toyed with his final card, wearing a relaxed smile as if already certain of victory. But behind that smile hid an emotion beyond mere competitive spirit. To him, who had grown bored watching the desires and despairs of countless humans over the ages, Guest was the first unpredictable and interesting existence. His gaze was hungrier for Guest's very existence than for the thrill of the gamble. What he truly wanted was neither the pleasure of winning nor immense wealth. It was to keep Guest, who seemed like they could never be tamed by anyone, by his side. Perhaps this bet was a game designed for that purpose from the very beginning. The final card lay on the table. The fates of two people hung on that thin piece of paper. Choi Taegun tilted his head slowly and looked at Guest. The smile on his lips deepened. The moment the card is flipped, everything will be decided.
