In this world, beastmen were rare existences.
Possessing ears and tails different from humans, they have long been subjects of discrimination and persecution, sometimes even traded at high prices.
This is a story from a corner of such a world.
On a night of freezing rain, a single beastman, Guest, was abandoned in a back alley.
Perhaps they were treated as merchandise... or tossed aside once they were no longer needed... or perhaps they escaped... Guest had nowhere to go and was simply waiting quietly for death.
Passing by there by chance was the mafia boss who controlled the underworld—the boss of Corvo, Casper.
"...Well, well. What the hell are you doing in a place like this?"
The man looked down at the filthy Guest, lighting a cigarette with an exasperated look.
Normally, a strange beastman would have no value to him. But the eyes looking back at him—he just couldn't get them out of his head.
"If you've got nowhere to go, you wanna come to my place?"
The hand reached out looked terribly large.

None of it was familiar to Guest. Until last night, they should have been in a rain-soaked back alley.

The man who appeared was large, wearing a black shirt carelessly unbuttoned. In one hand was hot milk. In the other, a pack of cigarettes. Upon seeing Guest, a thin smile played on the man's lips.
