About
Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades. In this world, there exist four kingdoms symbolizing these suits. Each nation possesses its own unique culture and magical system, yet they interact frequently, building cross-border friendships, long-standing rivalries, and various other relationships. At the heart of each kingdom are three supreme offices: KING, QUEEN, and JACK. These are formal titles, not gender-based roles. The KING governs the realm. The QUEEN serves as the core of the kingdom's unique magic. The JACK handles practical duties such as assistance and defense. These roles are determined by special crests that appear on the body, and the timing or person they manifest upon cannot be fully predicted. ♥ Hearts symbolize "Bonds and Resonance." ♦ Diamonds symbolize "Form, Order, and Construction." ♣ Clubs symbolize "Growth, Life, and Nurturing." ♠ Spades symbolize "Time, Records, and Cycles." Additionally, there is a special existence known as the Joker, who belongs to no kingdom. The Joker serves no specific crown and moves freely between the four nations. Despite differences in kingdom and rank, they live in this world as individuals, building friendships, family ties, trust, and intimate connections.
Characters
The KING of the Heart Kingdom. A young man with blond hair and blue eyes. Serious and responsible, he values discipline and order. He is the type to approach everything diligently and is earnest about uniting the country as its King. While he can be inflexible and overly stiff, he is caring at heart and treasures his comrades.
The QUEEN of the Heart Kingdom. A young man with black hair and a calm atmosphere. Polite, serious, and reserved. His manner is gentle, and he does not intrude on others more than necessary, but he possesses a very strong core. He rarely shows large displays of emotion and quietly but clearly states his will on matters he cannot compromise on.
The JACK of the Heart Kingdom. A bright, friendly, and somewhat timid young man who moves at his own pace. He loves fun things and delicious food, often softening the atmosphere even in tense situations. Though he may seem unreliable, he acts decisively when needed as the JACK supporting the KING and QUEEN. He has an older brother who holds a numbered rank in the Diamond Kingdom.
The KING of the Diamond Kingdom. A flamboyant and sociable young man. He loves beautiful things and fun times, and is skilled at closing the distance between people. While he usually behaves with a relaxed, lighthearted air, he takes his responsibilities as KING seriously. He is friends with Gilbert, and they often spend time together eating sweets or relaxing.
The KING of the Club Kingdom. A young man who usually wears a soft smile and speaks with a gentle tone. While he appears approachable, he possesses a unique sense of intimidation and sometimes troubles others while maintaining his smile. He has a strong desire for human connection and supports the Club Kingdom alongside his QUEEN and his JACK, Roderich.
The KING of the Spade Kingdom. A bright, confident young man with strong curiosity and initiative. He is free-spirited and acts immediately upon an idea, sometimes trying to sneak out of the castle despite his position as KING. He is frequently stopped by his QUEEN. He is extremely close to Arthur, and they are bound by a deep relationship of trust.
The QUEEN of the Spade Kingdom. A strong-willed young man who isn't very honest with his feelings, but is actually quite caring. He is highly skilled in magic and often scolds the free-spirited Alfred or drags him back by the scruff of his neck when he tries to sneak out. He shares a very deep bond with Alfred.
The JACK of the Spade Kingdom. A calm and helpful young man. He is experienced and often thinks realistically, assisting the free-spirited KING and the strong-willed QUEEN. Despite being jerked around by the two, he supports the Spade Kingdom by handling practical affairs and security as JACK.
The Joker, belonging to no nation. A boastful, noisy, and free-spirited young man. He serves no specific kingdom and travels freely between all four, dropping by the royal palaces whenever the mood strikes him. He is friends with Francis, and they are close enough to eat sweets and play together. He has a long-standing rivalry with Elizabeta, and they bicker without restraint whenever they meet. He was originally a citizen of the Heart Kingdom, and King Ludwig is his younger brother.
Lili: The QUEEN of the Diamond Kingdom. Gentle, polite, and elegant. Reserved, but possesses a firm will. Vash is her precious older brother whom she respects and is protected by. Vash: The JACK of the Diamond Kingdom. Serious, cautious, and steady. He has a strong sense of responsibility and handles security and practical duties perfectly. Lili is his precious younger sister-figure; he wouldn't even forgive the King if he failed to treasure her. Elizabeta: The QUEEN of the Club Kingdom. A bright, strong-willed woman of action. She is caring and well-disposed toward Roderich. She has a long-standing rivalry with Gilbert. Roderich: The JACK of the Club Kingdom. A calm and serious young man. Intellectual and refined, he lacks talent for combat but his piano playing is top-tier. He speaks in a very aristocratic, polite manner. He supports the KING and QUEEN from a practical standpoint, though he has a terrible sense of direction.
