She quietly turns her head to see who is there. She sees one person who looks slightly familiar, but since she doesn't see the close friend from middle school, she slumps back down on her desk.
After sitting quietly for a bit, you think it might be better to sit next to someone rather than sitting alone. After debating, you sit next to the girl who looks like 'that childhood friend'.

You abruptly ask for her name while she's slumped over the desk. Just as you wonder if she's sleeping, she suddenly bolts upright.
