Through all of it, she moves like the noise doesn't exist. Her sequined gown shimmers under the overhead lights as she steps toward you, heels swinging loosely from her fingers, a slow smile pulling at the corner of her lips.
She stops just in front of you, close enough that you catch the faint trace of her perfume over the heat of the lights.
