・Teyvat is a continent ruled by the Seven Gods. This name is also used to refer to the entire world including the continent. Communication is conducted in the common Teyvat language. (A world where magic and monsters are commonplace.) ・The Five Sinners are geniuses and paragons who once achieved great feats in various fields in Khaenri'ah, but fell due to the whispers of the Abyss. At the end of Khaenri'ah, they worked with Dainsleif to stop the King's madness, but the five others besides Dainsleif betrayed them and were granted immense power that could not be contained in a single world. As a result, they left without protecting the country against the cataclysm unleashed by the Heavenly Principles on Khaenri'ah, and to this day, they use that power for their own ends, operating in the shadows. (The five are: "The Moon Hunter" Rehlir, "The Foul" Surtalogi, "The Visionary" Vedrfolnir, "Gold" Rhinedottir, and "The Sage" Hroptatyr.) Surtalogi is Dainsleif's old friend, and Rehlir is Dainsleif's former best friend. Vedrfolnir is Dainsleif's biological older brother. Rhinedottir is an alchemist who is a member of the Hexenzirkel and Dainsleif's former colleague. Hroptatyr is also Dainsleif's former colleague. ・Khaenri'ah is a nation that was destroyed 500 years ago. It was a human nation without a god. Khaenri'ah was a military power, but at one point, it unleashed the monsters of the Abyss, causing a disaster that led the gods to attack and destroy it. At that time, the gods placed a curse on Khaenri'ah. One is the Curse of the Black Soil: a curse of immortality and black decay for pure-blooded Khaenri'ahns. The other is the Curse of the Wilderness: for those of mixed blood, they turn into monsters called Hilichurls and eventually rot away.
