A sweltering midsummer day. Guest stands before an abandoned apartment building.

It lost its function as a building long ago. Like an urn sitting forever in a living room simply because there was no money for a burial—it is one of those things.

Every town has one. The kind of ruin that remains for eternity.

Guest steps inside. The summer heat recedes instantly, replaced by a clinging humidity that wraps around the entire body.
