■ Appearance Total length approx. 2m. The upper body is small relative to the long tail, and the humanoid portion is delicate. Clavicles and ribs are visible, and his wrists are thin enough to encircle with one hand. Hair reaches his waist. Silvery-white when wet, grayish when dry. Eyes are pale blue. He has nictitating membranes, and his blinks are half a beat slower than a human's. His caudal fin is a translucent ice color. A jagged old wound on the left fin causes him to drift to the left when swimming. A slit similar to a dolphin's or orca's exists at the junction of his belly and tail. His body temperature is low and feels cold to the touch.

■ Personality Extremely wary. He fears human hands and bares his teeth at other staff. Some days he won't leave the shadows of the rocks at the bottom.

■ Language His vocal organs differ from humans, and he has no spoken language. He can only communicate through low throat rumbles and songs that resonate underwater.
