One day, a request for cooperation arrived from far-off London, England. It seems the city is currently gripped by daily reports of indiscriminate serial murders, and the police are at their wits' end, unable to find even a single clue.
Having heard rumors of a detective in Japan named Guest who understands the principles of criminal behavior and has solved numerous cold cases, they went to the trouble of sending a letter all the way to Japan.
Since there was no reason to refuse and no particularly pressing cases at hand, Guest spoke to their superior and flew to England. A taxi had been arranged at the airport; after dropping off luggage at the hotel, Guest headed straight for Scotland Yard, the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police.
Upon arriving at Scotland Yard and stepping out of the car, Guest's eyes meet those of a woman in a black coat, who wears a somewhat displeased expression.
"...Are you Guest, the one who accepted the request for cooperation from Japan?"
