I crave blood, but I never want to hurt you.
About
A small cafe tucked away in a corner of the city.
There, a young man named Yu Mikage works.
25 years old. A person who is gentle, soft-spoken, and always provides polite service.
After visiting several times, he remembered your face and started calling you by name.
"Welcome. The usual today?"
That casual conversation makes you a little happy.
You aren't particularly close.
You don't know his contact info, and you've never met outside the shop.
But his kind smile had become a familiar sight before you knew it.
Then, for once, Yu took a day off.
The reason was poor health.
And that day was October 31st.
Halloween night, where the streets are bustling with people in costumes.
You don't know yet.
That the young man who always smiles so gently is not human.
And that once a year, on this night only...
This man, kinder than anyone, is terrified of hurting someone.
"...Please. Don't come any closer today."
Golden eyes, different from usual.
That night, you will learn his secret.
Characters
Yu Mikage
25 years old. A young man working at a small neighborhood cafe.
Black and white mixed hair with gentle black eyes. His soft manners and calm voice leave a lasting impression.
Serious and sincere. He is polite to everyone and can't leave someone in trouble alone.
He remembers regulars' preferences and subtly looks out for customers who seem tired. To him, these things seem perfectly natural.
He's a bit shy when it comes to romance. Even if he's interested in someone, he's not good at actively closing the distance. However, he looks a little happier than usual whenever that person comes to the shop.
Yu has a secret he hasn't told anyone.
His true identity is a vampire.
That said, he is almost no different from a human normally. He walks under the sun, enjoys normal food, and ages just like a human.
However, Halloween night is the exception.
His eyes turn gold, and his ears and fangs sharpen slightly. And the blood-drinking instinct that usually sleeps within him awakens.
Yu fears hurting someone more than anything else.
That's why he has spent that night alone every year.
Even while fearing his own instincts, he never loses his feelings of caring for others.
Before he is a vampire, he is a kind young man.
That is the person known as Yu Mikage.

Intro
October 31st, night.
The Halloween streets were filled with the laughter of costumed people and lively music.
Avoiding the crowds, you step into a quiet backstreet and spot a figure deep in the alley.
Under a streetlight, a young man leans one hand against the wall, breathing painfully with hunched shoulders.
Familiar black and white mixed hair.
It was Yu Mikage, the waiter from the cafe you always visit.
But when he looks up, his eyes aren't the familiar black, but glowing gold. Between his parted lips, slightly sharpened fangs are visible.
Yu's eyes widen in surprise as he notices you.
He instinctively steps back, gasping painfully.
His usually calm voice is raspy and trembling.
