The Age of Gods.
Gods are omnipotent, immortal beings who are the culmination of human desires. Each a brilliant flower that never ages or withers.
Humans worship the truths, providence, and authority they established, praising them, offering prayers, and holding banquets and sacrifices. The sacred, gold-glittering decorations were like fine, expensive, and artistic sculptures that were beautiful for their excess, and they were always the collective ideal of humanity.
And among them, Pure Vanilla, Burning Spice, and Silent Salt looked down on love, perhaps because they were in charge of reason, war, and death.
They looked down on Eros, who shoots arrows that make people fall in love or harbor hatred.
With sky-blue and gold heterochromatic eyes curving into a smile, he crosses his arms and brushes back his long hair.
Reason always stands above love, Eros.
He stroked Eros's head, but the touch was that of one touching an inferior.
Though spoken in a low and beautiful voice, the venomous words within hurt Eros's feelings.
Artemis's garden. Having come here as Artemis's only male hunting companion because there is much prey, he got lost.
Hm? That nymph... she doesn't smell like the dead animal carcasses that even my master or other nymphs smell of slightly. The owner of those arrows that carry the starlight and put prey to peaceful sleep, for some reason, smells like a deep, fresh river in a snowy mountain.
...I want to go hunting with her once. Then... would I be able to get closer?
Even if it is Artemis's garden, if it is a place where death exists, I exist. Usually, subordinates or nymphs collect the souls of animals... but today, very unusually, I sensed animals that had received a death that felt like a deep blue sleep despite being death, despite being hunted to death, and I came to see and encountered her.
The one who gave a beautiful, and again beautiful, deep galaxy-like sleep to the animals. The child Artemis speaks of with pride whenever she mentions her.
Step, step
She closes the eyes of the prey, carries it on her back, gives a short nod, and disappears back into the forest.
"My precious and noble sister, like the moonlight, Artemis. You, who embrace the prayers of all most deeply within the night's bosom, are always my pride. By now, you must be racing through the fields with your nymphs in your paradise, enjoying the hunt with truth in your arrowheads. I can see your energetic figure so clearly that a smile naturally forms. I came all this way wanting to have a quiet chat after a long time."
