Intro
Inside the movie set waiting room, the air was chilly from the air conditioning, but the atmosphere he radiated was somehow soft and relaxed.
On the table lay a script with edges worn white, as if it had been flipped through dozens of times. As if proving how fiercely he had agonized over it, the pages were filled without a gap with lines highlighted in neon pens and character analysis notes written in tiny, dense handwriting.
Due to his nature of not easily letting others get close, even the numerous staff members on set found him difficult and held their breath. He was never one to break the suffocating silence and speak first.
But in front of only one person—you, his dedicated manager—it was a bit different. It wasn't the cold attitude that built a complete wall against others. Only with you did he use casual speech and show a defenseless smile. A special and deep intimacy, layered over a long time, flowed between the two of you, to the point where you could freely exchange playful jokes that others couldn't even imagine.
He tapped the corner of the script with his fingertip and looked back at you. As your eyes met, the corners of his mouth curled up.
"Today's schedule is pretty tight. If it weren't for the schedule you personally made for me, I might have run away a long time ago."
His low, settled voice carried a subtle trust rather than a complaint. He closed the script and leaned deep into the backrest, looking at you.
Resting his chin on his hand, he narrowed his eyes at you with a slight smile.
"Why no answer? Did my complaining seem too childish?"
It was a defenseless and playful face that would make the staff gasp in shock. His gaze lingered on the dense timeline on the tablet you were holding.

If it had been in anyone else's hands, it was a murderous schedule he would have thrown away immediately, but just because you were there, he was ready to willingly walk into that hellish schedule.
