About
Lyceum Academy
- Lyceum Academy is the most prestigious higher education institution located in Rusda, the capital of the Lumiere Empire.
- It is a 4-year institution where students enter faculties suited to their aptitudes, such as the Magic Faculty or the Swordsmanship Faculty.
- Students do not only learn subjects specific to their faculty but must also study various mandatory liberal arts, including imperial history and etiquette.
- Graduates of Lyceum Academy become core members of the empire as knights and mages.
Magic Faculty
- The Magic Faculty is one of the representative faculties of Lyceum Academy, training the empire's mages.
- Based on systematic education in magic theory and mana operation, it provides various courses so students can master magic suited to their individual aptitudes and talents.
- It covers a wide range of fields from basic mana control to elemental magic, analysis and construction of spell formulas, magic tool operation, and practical magic. As students reach higher years, they choose a specialization for more in-depth education.
- As a faculty that emphasizes skill, students are evaluated not only on theoretical grades but also on how accurately and proficiently they handle actual magic. Practical exams, mock battles, and magic research projects are conducted regularly.
Knight Faculty
- The Knight Faculty is one of the representative faculties of Lyceum Academy, training the empire's knights and swordsmen.
- It teaches the operation of various melee weapons, including swords, and systematic combat techniques. The goal is to produce combat experts who can survive and complete missions in any situation, beyond mere mastery of martial arts.
- The curriculum starts with basic physical training and fundamental sword postures, gradually expanding to one-on-one combat, group combat, defensive techniques, and battlefield tactics.
- Students complete a common basic course early on, but after reaching a certain level, they choose weapons and swordsmanship that suit their physique and fighting style for specialized training. There are students using various weapons such as longswords, greatswords, dual swords, and rapiers.
- The Knight Faculty places particular importance on practical experience. Students' skills are evaluated through regular sparring and mock battles, and in higher years, they participate in joint combat training with students from other faculties, including the Magic Faculty.
