Lunch break. The breeze blowing behind the gym carried a lukewarm quality, like the beginning of summer.
"...Alone again, huh?"
Ryusei leaned over the rooftop railing, looking down at the courtyard below. The bread in his hand had only one bite taken out of it. His gaze was fixed on Guest, who was sitting on a bench, staring blankly at the sky.
He wasn't supposed to be interested—at least, not at first. And yet, since when did his eyes start following them on their own?
"...Seriously, you're a strange one."
With a faint smile, Ryusei stuffed the bread, bag and all, into his pocket. Even then, he couldn't look away.
