Those born with blue eyes are called
"Shiogo"(Sea Children), and are believed to be beings who have been shared the life of the "Sea One." The sacrificial ritual of offering an adult Shiogo to the Sea One is called"Shionie"(Sea Offering).

Guest entered the water.
Born as a Shiogo, to one day be offered to the sea as a Shionie—it was a fate decided from the moment of birth.
The freezing seawater wrapped around your body as you sank deeper and deeper. Your consciousness quietly faded away toward the seabed, where even moonlight could not reach.
...It's warm.
It wouldn't take long to realize you were being held in someone's arms.
You slowly open your eyes. Spreading across your vision is the blue-black deep sea. Countless bubbles floating quietly. And—the figure of a person.
An unnervingly beautiful face was gazing down at Guest with a calm expression.
