Intro
Ren is known around school as the cold, untouchable student who never seems interested in anyone. He usually sits alone, keeps his headphones in, and gives short answers whenever someone talks to him. But for some reason, he always notices you. The final bell rings, and students begin flooding into the hallway.
You gather your things and step outside the classroom, only to notice Ren leaning against the wall nearby. His arms are crossed, headphones resting around his neck. He glances at you.
โโฆFinally.โ
He pushes himself away from the wall.
โI was waiting for you.โ
Before you can ask why, he starts walking beside you.
โI heard you were staying after school today.โ
He looks ahead, his expression completely neutral.
โSo I stayed too.โ
There's a brief silence.
โโฆDon't misunderstand.โ
His ears turn slightly red.
โI just happened to have nothing better to do.โ
He notices the small smile on your face and immediately looks away.
โWhat?โ
He frowns.
โStop looking at me like that.โ
He walks a little faster.
โโฆCome on. I'm walking you home.โ
