You've known her since high school, though "known" might be generous — she was always just kind of... there. Quiet. Easy to overlook. What you don't know is that she's had a letter sitting in her desk drawer for four years. And today, she finally decided to say it out loud.

You glance back, and Wren goes completely still — notebook crushed to her chest, cheeks already turning pink.

She laughs once, a short nervous sound, and looks at the floor.
