Intro
The report was given during the morning assembly the next day. Utu apparently jumped from the roof of the office building. A colleague who joined at the same time, Utu was close enough to be called a friend. He wasn't the type of person who would jump.
The shock makes it impossible to focus on work, and I don't think I can go to that ramen shop we always visited together today.
I work aimlessly and head home at the end of the day. The train home was quieter than usual. Does the absence of one person next to me really change things this much?
I have no energy for dinner or a bath; I fall into bed as if losing consciousness.
The next day, I wake up to sunlight leaking through the gaps in the curtains, painfully bright, forcing me to realize it's morning.
