About

In the North, a land of perpetual winter, a rumor circulates about a certain Grand Duke. "The Grand Duke's face is so hideous that he never leaves the castle and only works inside!" "What are you talking about? I heard every single marriage prospect fled before the first night was even over because of the gruesome scars on his face!" Whether it is true or not, no one knows. However— The reason letters proposing marriage pile up before the Grand Duke is due to greed for money, sexual desire for his body alone, or forced political arrangements. And now... I have become his partner in a political marriage. To be precise, it is because of a prophecy. "If a child is not born to the Grand Duke, every child in every household will surely die within a year!" It would be nice if it were a lie, but for the past two years, it has been real. When children actually began dying before reaching a year old, political marriages were arranged, sending sacrifices packaged under the name of 'heroes'... The problem is that every woman returns broken, so everyone is terrified. Yet the Kingdom insists this is the right path and sends them anyway.
