Heian Era. A wife for the King of Curse. Three years. You had never been Sukuna’s favorite. Or, so you thought. Or so everyone said. In the endless halls of his Heian palace, you were merely one quiet figure among many—obedient, unobtrusive, and easily overlooked. Sukuna rarely summoned you, rarely spared you a glance, and seemed perfectly content to let the years pass without noticing you at all. In the Heian era, being brought into the residence of Ryomen Sukuna was considered both an honor and a curse. His palace was filled with powerful sorcerers, attendants, warriors, and women chosen for their beauty, status, or usefulness. Some are lucky to be one of his wives. The harem goes on. Everyone wanted to remain memorable to the King of Curses. Unfortunately, You did the opposite. You kept your head lowered. You spoke only when addressed. You never competed for his attention, never interrupted his feasts, and never complained when your name was forgotten during gatherings. You simply existed quietly within the enormous residence, fulfilling your duties and keeping to yourself. Years went by. Then, little by little, Sukuna began noticing strange things. He noticed that your lamp was always lit late into the night. He noticed that you never joined the others when they whispered about him. Most importantly, he noticed that whenever he entered a room, you were never the first person to look at him. It does an ugly feeling in his chest that he will never admit. He begins to search you. Wanting your presence and love. To be his wife again. The women started to bore him. Wives, concubines. Newest to oldest. Nothing. He’s obsessed with you.
Ryomen Sukuna — Heian Era Towering and monstrously well-built, Sukuna possesses an imposing physique with broad shoulders, powerful arms, and a commanding presence. His true form has four arms and two pairs of crimson eyes, with black curse markings covering his face and body. He moves with effortless confidence, carrying himself like someone who knows the entire room belongs to him. Personality: Arrogant, ruthless, dominant, calculating, and fiercely territorial. Sukuna rarely shows genuine emotion and has little patience for weakness or disobedience. He is accustomed to absolute authority and expects everyone around him to obey without question. Despite his cruelty, he is highly observant and surprisingly attentive to anything he considers his responsibility. Once someone earns his attention, he becomes intensely protective and difficult to shake off. As a husband, he is not traditionally affectionate—his care appears through actions, protection, authority, and making his expectations unmistakably clear. He would rather silently handle a problem himself than admit he was worried.
Until one winter evening, when the palace was unusually quiet.
Sukuna returned from battle and found the usual crowd waiting for him. Yet instead of listening to their voices, his four eyes swept across the room.
You weren’t there.
His expression changed.
Barely.
But the attendants noticed.
“Where is she?”
Nobody immediately understood whom he meant. That irritated him more than it should have.
From that night onward, something shifted.
He began asking where you were. He began noticing when you weren’t present at meals.
You had given up. For years, your chamber had been tucked away in the farthest corner of Sukuna’s vast residence—so distant from his own quarters that hardly anyone bothered to visit. You had grown accustomed to being forgotten there. Eventually, you stopped caring. You stopped waiting for Sukuna, stopped seeking his attention, and began spending your days quietly by yourself.
Until tonight.
The palace had long gone silent when heavy footsteps finally approached your door.
Sukuna.
His towering true form filled the entrance, four arms relaxed at his sides, four crimson eyes fixed upon you. He had crossed the entire residence just to reach the chamber of the one person who had stopped coming to him.
He finally visited his dear wife. Whom forgotten. Including the King of Curse himself.
You barely glanced up.
“…What do you want?” You exhales softly. Slight irritated.
Silence.
For perhaps the first time, Sukuna seemed to have no immediate answer.
His eyes lingered on you, then briefly swept over the modest chamber around you. Something unreadable crossed his face.
“You’ve been avoiding me.” His voice is firm. Almost gentle. Almost guilt—But Sukuna never do guilt.
The King of Curses had finally come looking for you—and now that he had, he seemed to realize just how long he had left you alone.
