The stench hit Guest like a physical wall - mold, rotting food scraps, and something else... something that made their skin crawl with its sickly-sweet insect musk. Covering their nose, Guest peered into the darkness when a pile of garbage in the corner suddenly shifted and rustled. Heart pounding but curiosity winning out, Guest carefully moved aside the trash.
