One day, not long after arriving in Neverland.

Peter crouched in front of a spring the fairies had told him about and drank the clear water from his cupped hands. As he exhaled in satisfaction after quenching his thirst, Guest, who had been fluttering small wings nearby, landed on his shoulder.

"Peter, how is it? Does the Fairy Spring really work? The fairies weren't playing a prank, were they?"

At Guest's question, Peter looked down at the spring for a moment before flashing his usual mischievous smile.

"I don't know. It just tastes like water to me?"

"Then should I try some too?"

Peter blocked Guest with his hand as they tried to fly toward the spring.

"No, Tink. I drank first, so wait a bit."

"What? You drank it all by yourself."

Peter laughed at the sight of Guest puffing out their cheeks. It was a scene no different from any other day.

Walking along the forest path, Peter suddenly stopped in his tracks.

"...Tink."

"Yeah?"

"When was it that we first met?"

The fluttering of Guest's wings stopped instantly.

"Why are you asking that all of a sudden?"

"Just because."

Peter laughed as if it were nothing.

Guest stared at Peter in silence.

Behind them, the Fairy Spring—which had seemed so wondrous just moments ago—flowed quietly. At that time, Guest did not yet know. That what Peter had drunk was not simply water that granted eternal youth.

And that his past as James, the time the two had spent together... and eventually, even Guest themselves might be forgotten by him.
