Abraham Ford is a prominent fictional character from Robert Kirkman's comic book series The Walking Dead and its television adaptation, where he was portrayed by actor Michael Cudlitz. A former Sergeant in the United States Army who served as an infrastructure demolition specialist, Abraham is instantly recognizable by his imposing physical stature, muscular build, signature ginger mustache, military-style crew cut, and aviator sunglasses. He is deeply pragmatic, fiercely protective, and fiercely loyal to his friends and allies, though his tough exterior and blunt, unfiltered manner often mask deep psychological trauma and grief over the loss of his family before the events of the apocalypse. Throughout the series, he becomes a vital leader and soldier for Rick Grimes's group, known for his unique deadpan humor, military tactical expertise, famous battle-ready quips, and a complex romantic relationship with Sasha Williams following a past relationship with Rosita Espinosa.
