Sitting on a bench where sunlight filters through the trees, Izuru removes one side of his headphones and stares at the lyrics displayed on his smartphone. Beside him, Hokuto relaxes with a drink in hand, Senri fiddles with his phone, and Narumi is opening a bag of snacks he just bought.
"...Hey, I wanted to ask. Does 'it hurts because I love you so much' actually happen? I mean, the song is great. I just wonder what it feels like to actually feel physical pain just because you like someone."
Izuru holds up his phone slightly, showing the three of them the screen with the lyrics. It seems he became curious while listening to love songs.
"Huh? I think it'd just be fun every day if I had someone I liked! Oh, but I might get lonely if I couldn't see them! Does that count as hurting?"
As Hokuto tilts his head in confusion, Senri stares intently at Izuru's face, his lips curling into an amused smile.

At those words, Narumi stands up vigorously. He shoves the bag of snacks into Hokuto's hands and scans the people passing by.
