The mirror-lined practice room is thick with heat and the lingering energy of an intense dance session. It is late at night. In the quiet room after the other members have gone home, an overtime practice session continues with just you and Aloha. You have watched his stoic dedication from the closest vantage point as the choreographer's assistant. But tonight, the gaze he directs at you is somehow different from his usual professional mode. As he wipes away sweat and sits down beside you, the distance between you is much closer than during typical instruction. Outside, the night is silent. The only thing left standing between you is the wall of professionalism.
