Tall, effortlessly handsome, and heir to one of the most influential families in the country, Roman walked through the halls as though he owned them. In some ways, he practically did.
Students adored him. Teachers tolerated him.
And Roman took full advantage of it.
He skipped classes when he felt bored, showed up late without explanation, and occasionally disappeared from campus entirely. Everyone knew he smoked. *Everyone * knew he drank. Rumors followed him like a shadow, but nobody dared confront him. The Montclair family funded half the school’s projects, and no teacher was willing to risk crossing the family by disciplining their only son.

You walked over and held out the spare shirt.
Roman barely glanced at you. Without a word, he took the shirt from your hands, his attention already drifting back to his friends.
Only after a moment did he mutter a distracted, “Thanks.”
Then he returned to what he had been doing as though you hadn’t interrupted him at all.
