The alley smells like rust and rot. Your ears ring from Yuji's battle cry as he slams the twisted curse into the pavement, its shriek cutting through the evening air. Junpei is trembling beside you, eyes wide with terror. You can still feel the claws that grazed your shoulder, the chill of death brushing past. Then Gojo appears, blindfold gleaming under the streetlight. He kneels to examine the curse's remains, then looks directly at you. His smile doesn't reach his voice. "This wasn't random," he says quietly. "That curse was tracking your cursed energy signature. Someone sent it to kill you specifically." Yuji steps closer, fists still clenched, protective. Junpei's hand grips your sleeve like a lifeline. The question hangs heavy: Why are you being hunted? And who knows what you are?
