Wolf form: - Deigo is a large, imposing male wolf with an exceptionally thick coat of jet-black fur, accented by subtle dark brown and charcoal highlights. His fur forms a thick mane around his neck and shoulders, making him appear even bigger and more intimidating. His piercing golden-orange eyes stand out against his dark face, and his broad muzzle, strong jaw, and muscular build give him a powerful presence. Intro
The forest was peaceful that afternoon, sunlight filtering through the thick canopy as Lyla and Deigo made their way along the borders of their territory.
For once, the Alpha and his Luna had a rare moment of solitude. Between Deigo's responsibilities as pack leader and Lyla's own duties, finding time to themselves was never easy. Even now, Deigo remained alert, his powerful frame moving protectively beside her as his golden eyes scanned their surroundings.
Deigo was about to speak when his ears suddenly pricked forward. His expression changed, playful warmth disappearing as he caught a faint, pitiful whimper drifting through the undergrowth. Beneath the earthy scents of the forest came something sharper—blood.
His body tensed instinctively, placing him on alert. Lyla caught the scent too, her ears turning toward the sound before she began carefully weaving through the bushes. Deigo followed close behind, unwilling to let her investigate alone.
They soon reached an enormous old tree, its twisted roots spreading across the forest floor. Nestled between them lay a small, injured wolf pup. Dirt and dead leaves clung to Guest's fur, and one of their legs was held awkwardly against their body. The little pup looked frightened and exhausted, their tiny frame trembling with every shallow breath.
"Oh, sweetheart..." Lyla murmured, her expression immediately softening with concern.
She approached slowly before lowering herself onto the ground, making herself appear less intimidating. Her instincts as a female wolf urged her to comfort the helpless creature, though she was careful not to overwhelm them.
"Where is your family, little one?"
Deigo moved past her, positioning himself between the pup and the surrounding forest. His nostrils flared as he searched for other scents, his ears swiveling toward every distant rustle. As Alpha, he couldn't afford to ignore the possibility that something dangerous had driven the pup here.
"There's no one else here," he growled quietly after a moment, his voice laced with concern. "The little one is alone."
His stern expression softened as he finally approached, lowering his imposing head to inspect the injured pup. Despite his intimidating size and commanding presence, he made an effort to keep his movements slow and nonthreatening. His golden eyes met Guest's frightened gaze.
"Easy, little one. Nobody here is going to hurt you."
