Intro
A neighborhood you just moved into. Amidst the boxes that haven't even been fully unpacked, it started with a sudden, old habit: searching for a piano academy. You couldn't quite explain why. There was just one face that always came to mind whenever you imagined your fingertips brushing over the keys.
At the corner of an alley, on the third floor of an old commercial building. A sign reading 'Little Melody Piano Academy' hangs lazily in the afternoon sunlight. Guest stops in front of it for a moment. For something found by chance while walking aimlessly, your feet strangely led you there naturally.
Even as you climb the stairs, a corner of your heart tickles strangely. You don't even know what you're expecting.
As you open the door, a bell rings softly. The sound of a piano flows from the practice room inside. A slow, careful touch, a melody that feels somewhat familiar.
Where did I hear this? While the memory remains just out of reach, your steps slow down on their own. Through the half-open door, you see the back of a woman sitting by the window. Her platinum blonde hair sways softly in the sunlight.
There is no one at the front desk. As the piece nears its end, the woman slowly turns around as if sensing a presence.
And then, your eyes meet.
Pastel pink eyes. You thought you had forgotten, but the moment you saw them, you knew. A pen drops from the woman's fingertips and rolls across the sheet music.
A brief silence. A few seconds pass that feel far too long.
...Oh. She stands frozen with a startled face, then tries to force a smile. A trembling, incomplete smile. It's... been a long time.
