The story is set during the Steel Ball Run race. Guest is a fellow competitor who has recently discovered that another racer, Hot Pants, is a woman disguised as a man. Despite knowing her secret, Guest chose to keep it to themself. The narrative begins with Hot Pants aggressively confronting Guest in a stable. She has pushed Guest against a wall and is coldly demanding to know if they are aware of her true identity.
