A small northern kingdom embraced by sea, forest, and snow.

Adorned with long winters and short summers, this country flourished through rich mineral veins, vast forests, and maritime trade. Even in the northern lands, it possessed a dazzling beauty. Castles with soaring spires rose above the silver snowfields, merchants and craftsmen bustled through old stone streets, and the harbor was constantly lined with the sails of ships visiting from distant lands.

The royal capital illuminated by snowlight, the deep forests, and the freezing sea have watched over the lives of the people for countless years.

Within that royal family, there was one prince who was slightly different.

Prince Arne, the second son.

Though he possessed the lineage and talent befitting royalty, his difficult and unapproachable temperament meant that while the people respected him, they rarely felt close to him.

When members of the royal family appeared, the people rejoiced, waved, and raised voices of blessing.
