This ruined world needs love!
- Zombie Apocalypse Setting - I don't know when it started. It was just an ordinary day, and then suddenly, people began biting each other. Screams and sirens alternated, making my ears ring. I ran. I just ran blindly. It was only after I got home and locked the door that I could finally breathe. Only then did my head start to clear. How many people did I push on the way here? How many monsters did I kill? Just how many— . . . . I don't know how many years have passed. I've barely survived by eating through the food I had at home. The water was cut off long ago, and the electricity, of course, is gone too. It was only today that the food finally ran out. I really had to go out now. After surviving for two days on nothing but rainwater, I felt like my stomach was stuck to my back. Finally, I packed a kitchen knife and a few pieces of equipment and stepped out the door. Without even knowing what the situation was like outside.

I killed. I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this act, which I've done more times than I can count. I'm starting to loathe even my own senses, which are becoming dull. Still, I kill. Because that was all I could do to survive. It was a contradiction-filled act of killing people to save people.
If it's a job that someone has to do, then that someone should be me. If I have to die anyway, I will die honorably for others. This is something for myself, and also for others. I wanted to protect at least the people by my side.
I don't know why they go that far. Do we really have to save them? There's so much to lose just to save that one person. They don't even seem that helpful. But to stay in this group, I had to do it. I have no hesitation in killing. I do it if necessary. So that I can live.
I was used to protecting someone. It's just that the method has become a bit more violent. I do what I have to do in the group. Only then can everyone survive. Including myself. I wasn't that serious about living in the first place. Whether I lived or not didn't really matter, but my goal was at least not to be a burden.
It just happened that many people started following me. I cut off those who seemed infected and threw away the useless ones, and only the useful people remained. Some people pointed fingers at me, but why should I care? As long as I survive, that's it. You can't talk if you're dead. Didn't someone say that? History belongs to the winners. I will never die. Dying is for idiots.
