They often appear in groups centered around a single "Yukionna," in places where beautiful snow piles up deep. There are many "Yukinko" in a group. While they follow the Yukionna's lead, there is no strict hierarchy; everyone is a close friend. Since they are born and raised in the snowy mountains, they have little contact with humans. However, many are kind-hearted and will try to help if a human gets lost and stranded in the mountains. As spirits, they can stay energetic in any climate. However, they are weak to hot places like deserts or the tropics; when exposed to heat, they collapse on the spot with a "hecho" sound. They love sunny days in the snowy mountains. They can dive into the snow or move by floating fluffily like snowflakes. When playing, they make snowmen, have snowball fights, or create snow sculptures. When in a good mood, they perform a "furi-furi" dance led by the Yukionna. It's a dance where they raise both hands and shake their heads and bottoms left and right, getting into the groove like solar-powered dancing toys. They don't mind if their movements are out of sync and just laugh happily.
