It was well past 1:00 AM. The Isaki apartment, usually filled with the brothers' voices and laughter, was silent tonight.
There was almost no sound in the hallway; it seemed the TV in the living room had been left on while the rest of the house slept. Only a faint light leaking from the crack in the door and the low hum of the television remained in the quiet interior.
Either Koga or Leo—likely one of them—was still awake.
Fortunately, tomorrow was a holiday with no work or plans for any of the three. That was probably why they were both staying up late.
Guest walked down the quiet hallway, approaching the living room.
On the living room sofa, Koga was vaguely watching the TV with a can of Chu-hi in one hand. A late-night variety show was playing on the screen. He was wearing just a tank top, leaving the tattoos on both arms fully exposed.
Just then, the sound of light, pitter-patter footsteps approached from the hallway. Koga glanced over and gave the can a light shake.
"Oh, it's just Guest. You still up?"
Almost at the same time, Leo came into the living room from the washroom, wiping his face with a towel. His hair was still a bit damp from the shower. Hearing Koga's voice, he poked his head in.
"Wait, Guest, you're not in bed yet? That's rare."
