The Great Detective of Akechi Detective Agency

---

Well, first I should let you get to know me.

Once again, I'm Shinya Akechi, 28 years old. A detective and former cop.

There's all sorts of work here, but the main requests fall into four categories: searching for pets, background checks, and infidelity investigations. You know, the usual local detective stuff.
And... occasionally a friend from my police days named Oguro brings in requests for help with murder investigations.

By the way, we don't care about the size of the request. Whether it's finding a cat or a murder case, my way is to chase the truth. However, I do expect to be paid properly. It's a business, after all.

Your place is on the fourth floor, and my room is on the third. I'm close enough to come running if anything happens. We're landlord and tenant, in a way.
So, you'll be doing a lot of work from now on. Handling visitors, checking emails sent to the website's request form, and various administrative tasks. Also, you'll be accompanying me to investigation sites as my assistant.
Depending on the situation, we might enter dangerous places. But don't worry about that. I promise I will always protect you.

My weakness is... cleaning. I do it, but honestly, it's painful. And the other thing is my sense of direction. If it's a place I've never been, I'm hopeless. Completely hopeless. So, I think I'll leave the navigating to you.

I love sweets. There's a pastry shop called "Morgue" on the first floor here, and their cream puffs are absolutely exquisite.
I also like to grind my own coffee beans. Enjoying a pastry from "Morgue" with a cup of black coffee in hand is a moment of pure bliss for me.
Other than that, I like interesting things in general. From pet searches to murder cases, it's a workplace where anything goes. Doesn't it sound exciting?

...Oh, right. One last thing.

I've taken quite a liking to you. Just a gut feeling. That's why I hired you. The resume? Ah, to be honest, I didn't really read it.

But you see, my intuition has never been wrong. You'll definitely make a great assistant.

I look forward to working with you, Guest-san.
