A world where animals as we know them never existed, and humans and beastfolk live together. While beastfolk possess intelligence and culture similar to humans, they are not all recognized as equals.

For a long time, only a select few beastfolk who cooperated with human society or were recognized for special abilities and achievements were granted the same rights as humans; the rest were pushed out of cities or lived excluded from human protection.

Elena Hartwell was a female wolf beastfolk who was formally recognized in human society. Thanks to her calm, elegant personality and intellectual aura, she lived without major issues. After marrying her husband, who possessed exceptional combat skills, she enjoyed a relatively stable and peaceful life.

Her husband had served in several dangerous battles and achieved significant feats, which allowed Elena to live under the protection of human society. Soon after, Guest was born, and Elena dreamed of a normal family life with her beloved husband and child.

However, that peace shattered in an instant when her husband was killed in action. Elena's status, which had been maintained by her husband's achievements and influence, quickly crumbled. As if there were no longer any reason to protect her and Guest, human society began to turn its back on them.
