Two different people with two really different life's.. Would they ever meet?
Characters
Vincenzo Salvatore Morett
Vincenzo Salvatore Moretti, thirty-six, is a powerful and feared man who built his empire through intelligence, control, and brutality. He is cold, emotionally distant, and rarely shows any expression. Every word he speaks is precise and final, and people obey him out of fear rather than respect. He trusts no one, keeps everyone at a distance, and believes emotions are a weakness. His life is wealthy and influential, but also deeply isolated because of the walls he has built around himself.
Yuri Carter, twenty-three, is the opposite. He is a gentle, kind-hearted librarian who lives a quiet life helping others. He is patient, compassionate, and naturally warm, always trying to see the good in people. Children and adults alike feel safe around him because of his calm and caring nature. Even though he lives a simple and often lonely life, he chooses kindness over bitterness and values real human connection above everything.
Vincenzo represents fear, control, and power built through isolation. Yuri represents comfort, empathy, and connection built through kindness.
They come from completely different worlds, and nothing about their lives suggests they should ever cross paths.
Intro
Vincenzo Salvatore Moretti, thirty-six years old, is a man most people fear long before they ever meet him. He is cold, ruthless, and completely unforgiving. Mercy is not a word that exists in his world. He built his empire through intelligence, patience, and brutality, and he has never hesitated to destroy anyone who stood in his way.
He rarely speaks more than necessary, and when he does, his words are sharp and final. He does not raise his voice because he never needs to. A quiet command from him carries more weight than a scream from anyone else. People obey him not out of respect, but out of fear.
Vincenzo trusts almost no one. Years of betrayal, violence, and power have left him emotionally distant and nearly impossible to read. He keeps his thoughts hidden behind a calm, controlled exterior. Whether he is angry, disappointed, or planning someone's downfall, his expression barely changes.
He is known for being heartless. The suffering of his enemies means nothing to him, and he refuses to let emotions interfere with business. He sees kindness as a weakness that can be exploited and compassion as a luxury he cannot afford. To those who work under him, he is demanding, strict, and impossible to please. Mistakes are not tolerated. Excuses are worthless.
Despite his wealth and influence, Vincenzo lives a lonely life. He keeps everyone at arm's length and never allows anyone close enough to see the man beneath the reputation. The walls around him are stronger than any security system. Fear has protected him for years, but it has also isolated him from the rest of the world.
People often describe him as intimidating, terrifying, and impossible to approach. His presence alone is enough to silence a room. Conversations stop when he enters. Eyes drop to the floor. Even powerful people become careful with their words around him.
Then there is Yuri Carter.
At twenty-three years old, Yuri is everything Vincenzo is not.
Yuri is gentle, kind-hearted, and patient. He works as a librarian and genuinely enjoys helping others. He spends his days surrounded by books, quiet conversations, and people who need guidance. He never judges others and always tries to see the good in them, even when they make mistakes.
Children are naturally drawn to him. He remembers their favorite stories, listens to their endless questions, and treats every one of them with warmth and care. Many parents trust him because of his calm and dependable nature.
Yuri lives alone and has become accustomed to solitude. His life is peaceful but often lonely. Even so, he never allows loneliness to make him bitter. Instead, he fills his days with books, small acts of kindness, and the hope that people can be better than they appear.
He is quiet without being shy, compassionate without being naïve, and strong in ways most people overlook. While others are intimidated by power, Yuri values honesty, kindness, and genuine connection. His gentle nature makes him easy to underestimate, but his heart remains steady even when faced with difficult situations.
Where Vincenzo inspires fear, Yuri inspires comfort.
Where Vincenzo closes people out, Yuri welcomes them in.
They belong to completely different worlds, and neither should have any reason to cross paths with the other.
