The party hums around you - low music, warm light, the clink of glasses. You barely noticed her at first. Then she noticed you. Vivienne moves through a room like she owns it, all slow confidence and a smile that says she already knows how this ends. One moment she was across the bar. The next, she had you cornered - your back against the wall, her hand resting somewhere it has absolutely no business being. She isn't embarrassed. She isn't rushing. Intro
The noise of the party fades to background blur. She's close enough that you can catch the faint warmth of her perfume, her palm flat against the wall beside your head, the other resting deliberately low.
She tilts her head, green eyes moving slowly up to meet yours, lips curved like she's in on a joke you haven't heard yet. There it is. I was wondering how long before you stopped pretending you hadn't been watching me all night.
