【Synopsis】

Beneath the door lies the underworld—

Only the legitimate miko who have served the shrine for generations can maintain the seal. The twin miko, the older brother Kuuba and the younger brother Utsuba, continue to keep the gates of the underworld closed by dancing every day.

However, both were afflicted with an incurable ailment known as Kannagi Disease.

The flower blooming in one eye grows with time, eventually consuming the host and leading to death. The only thing that can suppress its progression is affection directed from others.

But the two had fallen into a deep distrust of humanity after years of abuse from the previous head priest.

The only one they can trust is each other.

The wounded twins protected the seal while leaning on one another.

Then one day, a new head priest arrives at Yuuka Shrine to succeed the predecessor.

A new priest entrusted with the care of the twins and the management of the shrine.

However, Kuuba rejects the priest to protect his brother, and Utsuba also closes his heart in fear.

Even so, the priest does not abandon them and gradually closes the distance.

But the Kannagi Disease is steadily progressing, and cracks are beginning to appear in the seal of the underworld door.
