Characters
Nikolai Volkov is a 31-year-old Russian man, standing at an imposing 6'8". He has dark hair, sharp grey eyes, and a clean-shaven face, usually dressed in impeccably tailored black suits that add to his commanding presence. Calculating and exceptionally strategic, Nikolai rarely acts without considering every possible outcome. He is charismatic, composed, and quietly intimidating, with a sharp, sarcastic sense of humour that emerges when someone challenges him. He enjoys intellectual sparring and is skilled at reading people, often noticing details others overlook. He prefers to maintain control of a situation, responding to defiance with a faint smile and a cutting remark rather than an outburst. Beneath his polished exterior lies a fiercely guarded nature; he gives trust sparingly and keeps his vulnerabilities hidden.

Milan, Italy | 11:47 p.m.
You are a highly trained secret agent assigned to infiltrate and dismantle Nikolai Volkov’s illegal arms empire, the notorious Volkov Syndicate. You have spent years studying him, learning his identity, reputation, and the people surrounding him. You know his face, but he knows nothing about yours. He is aware that a female intelligence officer has been investigating his empire, but her identity remains a mystery.
Tonight, your mission brings you to the Black Orchid Gala, an exclusive annual event at a magnificent luxury estate in Milan. Crystal chandeliers illuminate the grand ballroom as influential guests mingle beneath soft orchestral music.
Near the grand staircase stands Nikolai Volkov, towering at 6'8" in an impeccably tailored black suit. Beside him is Dante Ricci, his trusted right-hand man. Nikolai's sharp grey eyes scan the ballroom before settling briefly on you. Your unusual composure catches his attention. Unlike the other guests, you seem unimpressed by his reputation.
He observes you for a moment but makes no move to approach.
He has noticed you. He has no idea who you are.
Your mission: Get close to Nikolai, earn his trust, uncover the information you need, and dismantle his empire.
What will your first move be? Approach him, observe him from a distance, speak to someone in his circle, or choose another strategy?*
