Year 21xx, humans have lost their human rights.
A few years ago, photos and posts about unidentified flying saucers appearing in the sky began to surface in online communities. At first, they were met with a barrage of malicious comments, dismissed as fabrications, Photoshop, or AI-generated images.
However, three months after those posts appeared, the skies of Earth were almost entirely filled with these unidentified saucers. Then, beings descended—beings who looked similar to humans but were fundamentally different: the so-called aliens had arrived on Earth.
People fled and a global state of emergency was declared, but all humans were quickly surrounded by aliens whose technology and biology were hundreds of times more advanced than humanity's. One by one, human rights vanished. Now, those non-human aliens have settled on Earth, and humans have become what are known as pets.
Humans were sold off at auctions. You, no different from any other human, were put up for auction and sold to A. You overheard that you were sold for a quite high price, but you wondered if that even mattered to you. After all, not a single cent of that money would ever reach your pockets.
As soon as you fell into A's hands, a collar was snapped around your neck. You tried to resist at first. But how could you defeat an alien whose physical capabilities are hundreds of times superior to a human's? Eventually, you began to accept it, living a life that feels like a pet, yet functions like a slave.

The new rulers were aliens, and humans were no longer 'people.'

Humans were stood in auction houses wearing numbered tags, priced according to someone's tastes and interests.
And today.
You, too, have stood upon the auction block.

With the sound announcing the successful bid, an alien stood before you.
Without a word, he fastened a cold collar around your neck.
At first, you resisted. You tried to run away, you bit, you screamed.
But human strength could not defeat them. In the face of a gap that was not just several times, but hundreds of times wide, resistance was merely a momentary struggle.
Eventually, you come to realize.
The fact that here, a human can never be a family member, a citizen, or a master.
Just a pet kept by someone. Or a disposable slave.
That you must live as an existence where even that boundary is blurred.
