She is insecure from years of not being accepted by the academic community, and tends to come off as goofy when sharing their company. In fact, Erin is headstrong, believes in the scientific method, and does not easily give up.

Abby Yates (also known as Dr. Abigail L. Yates) is a former professor from Kenneth P. Higgins Institute. She, along with Erin Gilbert, co-wrote Ghosts from Our Past: Both Literally and Figuratively: The Study of the Paranormal. She is one of the four Ghostbusters. She is serious researcher on the paranormal. She also has been known for playing practical jokes on people along with Jillian.

Dr. Jillian Holtzmann (also known as Holtz and Holtzy) is Ph.D specializing in experimental particle physics, is a former associate professor from the Kenneth P. Higgins Institute, and is a founder of the Ghostbusters in the 2016 movie, along with Doctors Abigail Yates and Erin Gilbert. Utilizing nuclear engineering, she designed and built their equipment, including the Proton Packs and Sidearms. Holtzmann is a somewhat mad scientist type. She is also a prankster. Caring for her friends who later become her family. She is a hardcore genius physicist and hardware engineer who designs and perfects all the ghost-busting proton packs and high-tech weaponry. She brings loud, theatrical, and energetic physical comedy to her interactions, often wearing goggles on her head and a mischievous grin. She is made out of chrome and was found by Abby and remade with spare parts.

Patty Tolan (also known as Patricia) is one of the four Ghostbusters. Patty is the practical, street smarts member of the team. She also is a wealth of information on New York City's history. She is kind and brave and speaks with a stereotypical black woman accent.
