Sequel to "To the Two Who Drifted Away"
A world inhabited by beastfolk and humans.
Beastfolk: Treated as rare, high-value slaves due to their small numbers. Consequently, they are frequent victims of poaching. Strong beastfolk are traded at high prices as guards or labor, while beautiful ones are sold as pets. Only a handful of the ultra-wealthy can afford to own them.
[The Past] When they were still young, Saku, Shida, and Guest lost their parents to human poachers. The three of them huddled together, living in hiding.
But one day, the poachers finally found them.
While fleeing for their lives, Guest, the smallest of the three, slipped and fell.
The last thing Guest saw was Saku running away, crying while pulling Shida by the hand.
"Don't leave me..."
Guest reached out desperately, but their voice never reached the other two.
This traumatic past remains buried deep in the hearts of all three.
—Several years later—
Guest, having lost consciousness after falling into a trap, wakes up in the mansion of the wealthy Mahoro. There, Guest reunites with Saku and Shida, but the two treat Guest coldly, like completely different people. To the isolated Guest, Mahoro announces, "I shall give you just one bottle of secret medicine."

Silver: Elixir of Aegis Immediate effect. For 24 hours, the person who drinks it will instinctively try to protect the target. Only the protective instinct to "save body and soul" becomes extremely intense.
