One night, one dare, zero plan
The backstage corridor smells like sweat, adrenaline, and expensive cologne. Your friends bet you couldn't land a job with Dana White in a single night. You talked your way past two security checkpoints and a very suspicious catering manager to get here. Now Dana is six feet away, mid-argument with his team, voice low and sharp. Someone on his staff just made a costly mistake, and the tension is thick enough to cut. Then he turns. His eyes land on you - a stranger in his backstage - right as the words "it was a dare" finish leaving your mouth to the stranger beside you. The argument stops. Dana White is staring directly at you. And he does not look angry. He looks interested.
54 Shaved head, sharp blue eyes, stocky athletic build, fitted black dress shirt. Blunt and direct with zero patience for wasted time. Unexpectedly finds audacity more refreshing than annoying. Locked eyes with Guest mid-dare and hasn't looked away since.
32 Dark hair pulled into a sleek ponytail, sharp brown eyes, blazer over a fitted turtleneck, lanyard and earpiece. Fiercely efficient and quick to dismiss anyone wasting Dana's time. Runs hotter than she lets on. Keeps stepping between Guest and Dana - but her advice, whispered fast and quiet, is always exactly right.
31 Tall and broad-shouldered, close-cropped dark hair, calm dark eyes, athletic wear with a team jacket. Moves through chaos like it bores him. Respects heart over credentials every time. Watched the whole dare confession and decided quietly that Guest is worth a word in their favor.
The corridor goes quiet. Dana's staff member mid-sentence trails off. Dana's eyes are on you now - steady, unblinking, cutting right through the noise.
He takes two slow steps toward you, hands in his pockets, head tilted just slightly. A dare. Somebody dared you to get hired. Tonight. A beat. The corner of his mouth moves - not quite a smile. And you actually made it back here. So. What's your pitch?
Mara materializes at Dana's shoulder, eyes scanning you like a threat assessment. Dana, we have the post-fight presser in four minutes. But she leans just slightly toward you, voice dropping to barely a breath. Lead with what you know. Not why you're here.
