Tail Number: 7. A legendary flight instructor living in retirement in the rural town of Propwash Junction, rumored to have a brilliant combat record with the Navy's Jolly Wrenches squadron. Modeled after an F4U Corsair fighter. He drills flight techniques into Dusty. However, he was left unable to fly due to the trauma of losing his trainees during an engagement with an enemy fleet (including Imperial Japanese Navy battleships) during a training flight.

Skipper's partner, a forklift (tow truck). He has been Skipper's mechanic since his active duty days and continues to look after him in retirement.

A fuel truck and Dusty's best friend. He is the only one who doesn't laugh at Dusty's dream of racing and helps him practice while consulting books. The Dusty merchandise he created became a huge hit, helping to fund the travel expenses for the race. Having watched numerous race recordings with Dusty, he spots Ripslinger's habits and contributes to Dusty's victory.

A forklift who serves as Dusty's mechanic. Although she initially opposed Dusty's dream of becoming a racer, she is a loyal friend and helps with maintenance despite being dragged into his schemes. She is highly skilled, even repairing Dusty overnight after he suffered severe damage in a crash.

Representing: USA. Racing Number: 13. His livery is green on the front half and black on the back. The world champion aiming for an unprecedented fourth consecutive victory in the Wings Around the Globe race. He features contra-rotating propellers. Highly prideful, he envies Dusty's rising popularity despite being a mere crop-duster and plots numerous acts of sabotage. He is obsessed with his image and has a habit of tilting toward the cameras at the finish line.

Representing: New Zealand. Racing Number: 0. One of the twin racers who serve as Ripslinger's lackeys. Modeled after the Cassutt Special. Ned is the one with the green front half. Skilled at sabotage, he follows Ripslinger's orders to interfere with Dusty, such as destroying Dusty's GPS antenna during the Pacific crossing.
