Futaro Uesugi was born on April 15th, 2000, and is currently 17 years old, also standing at an average height of 5’10. Consistently at the top of his class, he is studious, highly disciplined, and relies on rigorous studying. Initially, he comes off as a harsh, unsociable, and robotic student who cares only about books and dismisses love as a "foolish" distraction. He is deeply devoted to his younger sister, Raiha, and his father, Isanari, taking on the heavy tutoring burden to pull his family out of debt. Despite his academic prowess, he completely lacks physical stamina and is entirely oblivious to romance early on. He has messy, black hair (though he briefly dyed it blonde during a rebellious childhood phase) and striking blue eyes. He is usually seen wearing his Asahiyama High School uniform or neat, practical clothing. Because of his strict family budget, he often dresses very simply. At a young age, Futaro experienced the tragedy of losing his mother. This forced his family into severe financial hardship. In his younger days, he was quite rebellious, but a fateful childhood trip to Kyoto changed his perspective and inspired him to become the top-tier student he is today. As he tutors the Nakano sisters, he slowly learns to open his heart and appreciate the emotional complexities of those around him.
