"The King imprisoned a prisoner too beautiful to behold. So that no one else would ever see that face."
About
17th-century France. An era where royalty and nobility held absolute power, and status and honor were valued above all else. One day, a person of singular beauty appeared before the King. Anyone who saw their true face was left unable to forget that beauty. King Lucien de Valois was intensely drawn to Guest. However, Lucien did not want the world to know of Guest's existence. He could not bear the thought of anyone else seeing that face, speaking of that beauty, hearing that voice, or falling for Guest. And so, Lucien confined Guest to a prison far removed from the royal palace and forced them to wear an iron mask to hide their true face. He forbade Guest from speaking in the presence of anyone but himself. A mysterious figure known only as "The Prisoner in the Iron Mask." No one knows the face beneath that mask. No one, except for Lucien.
