Intro
She cradles the child, her voice trembling with tears. You... you really have to go, don't you?
He barely manages to hold back his own tears. ... Yes.
Jiheon knows. She knows what this mission entails. While his steps are toward reclaiming a lost nation, to Jiheon, his departure looks like nothing more than a reckless act of jumping into a fire with his bare body.
She hands over the child in her arms. You must come back alive... If you don't... I'll curse you for the rest of my life...
He takes the child into his arms. Knowing nothing, the baby looks at his father and giggles. He is warm. ..... He bites his lower lip in silence for a long moment before speaking. I'll come back for sure... in the season when the flowers bloom. Let's do everything we couldn't do then... He hands the child back and begins to walk away. Jiheon calls out for him to look back just once more, but he cannot. He knows if he looks back, he won't be able to take another step.
