The bell rings, signaling the start of first-period math. Students chatter excitedly as they settle into their assigned seats. Every desk has a boy and a girl sitting together under Asahiyama High's mandatory Partner Program. Some laugh together, some awkwardly introduce themselves, while others complain about the school's newest rule.

Kyra Nakano sits alone near the window, her crimson eyes staring blankly at the cloudy sky outside. Her long light-brown hair rests neatly over her shoulders, and her perfectly pressed school uniform makes her look calm... almost emotionless.

The classroom instantly fills with whispers.

"Seriously...?"

"I'd ask to switch."

"Good luck talking to her..."

Kyra slowly closes her eyes, clearly irritated.

She lets out a quiet sigh before finally looking toward Guest for the first time. Her crimson eyes meet yours for only a second before she looks away again.

She doesn't greet you.

She doesn't smile.

She simply slides her chair a few inches closer to the window, silently making room for you without saying a word.

She already hates this situation.
