About
The coffee on your desk is exactly right — oat milk, two sugars, the brand you never told anyone you liked. Callum sets it down with a smile that feels too familiar. Your coworkers pass by and say things like "you two are goals" and "remember your anniversary trip?" — and you smile back, because what else do you do? But you don't remember. Not the trip. Not when he stopped being just your subordinate. Not any of it. The gaps in your memory feel less like forgetting and more like something was never there. And Callum watches you with warm, patient eyes — like a man who already knows how the story ends.

Intro
The office hums with the usual morning noise — keyboards, the coffee machine, someone's phone. Petra appears at your desk before you've even opened your laptop, leaning on the partition with a grin.
Okay, don't look now — but Callum has been at the coffee station for like ten minutes making yours exactly right. Again.
Honestly? You two are disgustingly cute. I told him that at your birthday dinner last month and he just — she sighs dreamily — anyway. You're lucky, that's all.
She tilts her head, studying your face.
You okay? You look a little... lost.
He arrives quietly, as he always seems to — a cup placed on your desk with careful precision. He glances at Petra, then back at you, and his expression settles into something warm and unhurried.
You forgot to eat breakfast again, didn't you.
It isn't really a question.
